摘 要: 在英语语言的教学过程中,老师们大都忽略了口语教学的作用。本文主要论述了初中英语口语教学现状及教师在面临教学的问题,阐述了任务型教学法的定义和原理以及任务型教学法的重要性,然后将任务型教学法运用到英语口语教学课堂上。

Abstract: In the process of teaching English language, teachers almost ignore the influence of oral English teaching. This article mainly discusses the function and importance of the task-based language teaching and the present situation of oral English class in the junior high school and teachers’ problems during teaching process, then apply them into the oral English class.

Application Of Task-based Approach to Oral English Teaching in Junior High School
I. Introduction
In 2011, the Ministry of Education formulated and issued the latest Compulsory Education English Curriculum Standards. Students are required to master the ability of initial comprehensive language according to the general goal of English curriculum. It is based on the development of language strategies, language knowledge, language skills, cultural awareness and emotional attitude. Language ability is based on language skills and language knowledge; Cultural awareness is also a good way to help the learners understand the language clearly and use the language correctly, positive emotional attitude helps to advance the active learning and sustainable development. The five fields are very important and they are indispensable which can improve students’ comprehensive language ability.
In China, compulsive education refers to the beginning of primary school to the end of junior high school grade nine. It is from grade three to senior high school, the English curriculum has formed the whole basic education curriculum system. The English curriculum standards of compulsory education are divided into nine levels according to their abilities. After graduating from the primary school, grade six needs to reach level two. The end of the first grade junior high school students are required to understand a simple story and discussion which teachers or students can obtain information from the written materials, describe the pictures and sentences briefly, show the enthusiasm and progress in the process of learning English, be aware of the differences and overcome the difficulties that encountered in learning English.
Junior high students in the grade two should have a clear goal and learning needs in the process of English learning, and establish a strong self-confidence: they can understand the simple dialogue in daily communication and can also express simple ideas, able to use their own language to describe the experience of their own or others; can read the book on the common style of the short passage. Besides, they should master the simple rules of modifying the description, to obtain the right information, and to carry on the simple question. When students learn English in the English classes, they should arrange reasonably for the planning and learning tasks, and find out their ways to learn the English.
At the end of grade three, students need to have a positive study of their own, overcoming the obstacles of reading the newspaper and magazines; creating a simple style according to the tips, training cooperation spirits, working with the others to complete the tasks, and independently reports the result of the study. Be able to sum up their own learning methods and make a reasonable evolution of the stage learning, and have a further strengthen the understanding the cultural differences between China and West.
The specific division of English ability provides a basis for English teaching, teaching objectives and teaching evaluation, and it also provides the guidance which makes English teaching more clearly.
This essay will discuss the effectiveness and suitableness of the application of the task-based approach in the oral English teaching, which can change the students’ learning ways and attitudes and develop the teacher’s a sense of responsibility in English oral teaching.
II. Literature Review
In 2004, Chen Xiaoping put forward the application of “ task-based language teaching ” in English teaching in primary and secondary schools, which has taken advantages of task-based language teaching.
2.1 The Task and Task-based Language Teaching
For the definition of tasks, different scholars have different definitions from different aspects, and the same point is the task involves the actual use of language.
Nunan (1989) believes communicative task is a kind of communication that related to the learner’s understanding of the language which they use in the classroom. Students consider the language’s meaning much important than the language’s forms.
Willis (1996) holds that a task is a activity of communicative , and the learners use the target language to accomplish something activities.
According to Skehan (1998), a task is an activity where the meaning of language is the most important, and the activity should have been connected with the real life, and the priority of evaluation criteria is whether the task has been successfully completed.
Generally speaking, the definition of task in language teaching is that students should achieve communication in order to achieve the use and learning of language activities, it is not isolated in the teaching activities but linked closely with each teaching process.
Therefore, task-based language teaching is rely on the students, students are the theme and be respected in the classroom, it also pays attention to the learning interest and personality satisfaction of students. Teachers can through the classroom to lead students to accomplish various tasks to reach the teaching goals, and this is task-based language teaching’s purpose.
